It was unintended, says MLA

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD DEC. 14. The BJP legislator, M. Dharma Rao, who virtually manhandled the Director of Information and Public Relations, S. Balasubramaniam, at the GMC Balayogi Stadium yesterday, today said the incident was `inadvertent' and blamed it on `communication gap.'

``The security staff members were unwilling to look at either the invitation cards or the ID cards of MLAs. I was allowed only after a lot of persuasion. But they pushed aside Parthasarathi, MLA, and at that point of time, Mr. Balasubramaniam intervened and asked us to sit in the press gallery. We were not aware of the fact that it was media box,'' Mr. Rao clarified.

``Aggrieved by the lapse of protocol, I threw the invitation card, which was misconstrued as an offence against the officer," he explained.
