By Our Special Correspondent

Bangalore Dec. 14. The passing-out parade at the Bangalore Military School on Saturday was as impressive as any by veterans of the armed forces.

The parade is a way of bidding farewell to the outgoing cadets of Class 12 at the Military School and this was the fifth such parade. The outgoing class was given a ceremonial send-off in the only such event held in any school in the City.

The Sword of Honour for the year was presented to cadets, Keshav Kumar and Sashi. The gold medal went to Cadet Suhas Rao of Rajaji House. The silver medal was won by Cadet Gladson John Vinod of Tagore House. This year, Rajaji House won the overall championship trophy.

Hariprasad, Director-General of Infantry at Army Headquarters, New Delhi, took the salute and called upon the cadets to uphold the best traditions of the school. The Principal, Shirish Kamboj, proposed a vote of thanks. An arts and science exhibition was also held on the school campus, inaugurated by Lt. Gen. Hariprasad.
