Thereafter Mohun Bagan notched up a 3-1 win riding on a George Ekeh's hat-trick, in the Oil PSU National Football League at the Bangalore Football stadium here today. For George Ekeh, the ebullient Nigerian it was a home coming of sorts. Having played a full season last year with the local side ITI, for whom he was overworked and proved a moderate success. However, in the ranks of the well-knit side and playing alongside versatile Jose Barretto and India captain Bhaichung Bhutia, George was at his near best and his second hat-trick of the league (having scored all the three goals in Bagan's 3-3 draw with JCT at home), deservingly won him the man of the match award of Rs. 5000. This was Bagan's second win against three draws and a 0-2 loss to East Bengal while HASC suffered it's third reversal and have only four points to show in five outings.
