JPC may pin UTI fiasco on Sinha

NEW DELHI DEC. 18. The Joint Parliamentary Committee, probing the stock scam, is likely to fix responsibility on the former Finance Minister, Yashwant Sinha, for the UTI fiasco and name Ketan Parekh as the ``key player.''

Short of pointing Mr. Sinha as mainly responsible for the freeze on the UTI's flagship scheme, the JPC report is expected to point out the then Finance Minister's ``failure'' to take timely action, sources said.
