Hurriyat leader hospitalised

Ranchi Dec. 19. The senior Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, was today admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences and the Abdul Razzak Ansari Memorial hospital (Apollo group) for a cardiac check-up. Mr. Geelani, a cardiac patient, was recommended a thorough medical examination a few days ago by a medical board in the Birsa Central Jail here, where he is lodged for the past six months after being brought from Jammu and Kashmir, jail authorities said here.

The district administration has already been informed about Mr. Geelani's check-up, they said. — UNI
