dated December 21, 1952: Dawn threatens

What next if India rejects the Pakistan offer to solve the Kashmir problem asked Dawn, the Karachi newspaper on the 19th in an Editorial. According to the paper, the next step could only be war. The article went on, "With full knowledge of the importance and implications of what we are saying, we do say in the name of Pakistan's millions that Bharat will have to be offered something which she cannot refuse. The Security Council's failure will only drive this country to war. Throughout the history of mankind, nations have gone to war for less compelling reasons and the bigger country has not necessarily won.
