NEW DELHI, DEC. 21. About 150 activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal were prevented by police from performing puja inside the historic Qutab Minar complex here today. The activists, under the aegis of the Devasthan Mukti Yagna Samiti, gathered near the monument this morning and tried to reach the assigned place within the complex to perform puja. They, were, however, stopped outside the complex. The activists, who were detained and later released, demanded permission to perform puja since "the monument was built after demolishing the Jain and Hindu temples''.
