In another match in this group Kerala and Manipur played a goalless draw. Bengal tops the table with 7 points (2 wins and one draw) with an unbeaten record and Manipur, which finished runner-up with 5 points (one win and two draws), also qualified for the semifinals as the second team from this group. Goa finished with 3 points (one win and two losses and Kerala finished with only one point (one draw and two losses). In the Bengal-Goa Match, the first half was well-contested and Bengal had only a 2-1 lead at half time. But in the second half Bengal outplayed the opponent for a creditable 5-2 win. Ranjit Chatterjee scored a brace (12th and 54th minutes) and Biswajit Majundar (32nd), Suman Dutta (63rd) and Ashwindas (69th) scored a goal each for Bengal. Bervan D'Mello scored (37) and Savino Fernandez (46) both the goals for Goa. In the other match Kerala put up a better performance today against Manipur to earn its first and the only one point. Wednesday's matches: (Group B): Bihar vs Delhi 2.30 p.m.; Mizoram vs Tamil Nadu 4 p.m.
