Five infiltrators killed in Mendhar

Rajouri Dec. 26. Five infiltrators were killed by the Army near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar area of Poonch district in the Jammu region.

Defence sources said that in the wee hours of Thursday, a group of militants was sighted trying to cross the LoC. The Army opened fire, killing five infiltrators, they said, adding that the exchange of fire was still on.

The sources added that combing operations were on to track down the remaining militants.
