New chief of Western Naval Command

NEW DELHI DEC . 29. Admiral Arun Prakash will be the new Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command in Mumbai.

At present Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the country's first tri-services command at Andaman and Nicobar Islands, he will take over on January 1 on the retirement of Vice-Admiral Vinod Pasricha.

Admiral S.S. Bhangara, at present Deputy Chief of the Integrated Staff, has been appointed new Commandant of the National Defence Academy at Khadakvasla.
