At a press conference here on Saturday evening, the BJYM national president, G. Kishan Reddy, said the twin aim of the signature campaign was to urge the U.N. Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, to declare Pakistan a terrorist state and also urge member-nations of the U.N. to stop financial aid and arms supply to that country. The BJYM activists will collect two crore signatures on white cloth banners throughout the country between January 12 and 26 and the banners will be submitted to the U.N. office in New Delhi in the second week of February, he said. Mr. Reddy, who was on a two-day visit to the State, said the BJYM would take up various programmes to strengthen its organisational base in Orissa.
