Unauthorised shops removed

CHENNAI Dec. 29. Chennai Division railway officials, with the help of the railway police, conducted a drive to remove unauthorised shops, tea stalls and vendors on railway land in and around workshops and hospital area in Perambur on Friday.

As many as 22 temporary shops/ permanent structures were removed, which will help improve the moving space in and around the workshop, says an official release.
