Youth sets himself on fire

BANGALORE DEC. 29. A 20-year-old youth, who married a minor girl, allegedly set himself on fire, as his wife did not go with him to his house, in Kanakapura Police limits on Saturday.

According to police, Siddalingappa of Sasalapura village married the 12-year-old girl from Balehonaga village six months ago at a mass marriage ceremony in Kanchanahalli.

However, the girl's parents did not permit her to go with Siddalingappa.

Police have registered a case.
