Not possible to replicate Gujarat, says Mahajan

New Delhi Dec. 29. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Pramod Mahajan, today said it was not possible for it to replicate the Gujarat poll campaign style in any other State in the coming Assembly elections.

"It is not possible to replicate the same campaign in other States. Every State has different situations and different issues. But in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh... we will focus on the promises and performance of the ruling Congress," he said in a discussion on Star News. Reacting to Mr. Mahajan's comment, the Congress leader, Salman Khurshid, said: ``we would like to believe him... but does he control his party's policies".Stating that ``I can take the responsibility for BJP only'', Mr. Mahajan said "but I cannot stop any organisation or a leader from saying or doing something".Mr. Khurshid and Mr. Mahajan agreed that it was time to forget Godhra followed by the communal carnage in Gujarat.
