Barnala is A.P. Governor

NEW DELHI DEC. 30. Surjit Singh Barnala is the new Governor of Andhra Pradesh. He was today shifted from Uttaranchal and appointed to take charge of the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad for the remainder of his term. The term of the Andhra Pradesh Governor, C. Rangarajan, ended recently.

Mr. Barnala's place in Uttaranchal will be taken up by Sudarshan Agarwal, who was appointed Governor of the two-year-old hilly State carved out of western Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Agarwal is a former Lok Sabha Secretary-General.
