Letters to the Editor
Sir, The article "Their tomorrow never comes" (Insight, Dec. 29) by Anjaly Modi clearly shows that nothing has changed since Independence. Crime against Dalits will continue to happen so long as apathy and insensitivity on the part of the citizens towards fellow citizens remain. It is a pity that the laws of the land are unable to come to the rescue of the victims. Is there no way to mitigate the problems of the Dalits? The Government cannot escape its responsibility in this respect.
T. Venkateshwara Rao,
