Zak's success in organising fairs

CHENNAI JAN. 8. Zak group, a pioneer in conducting exhibitions in India, is reaching a landmark of organising 100 exhibitions both in India and abroad within eight year period . Started in 1994, the group branched off into business of organising exhibitions and trade fairs. It conceived its first assignment to organise the Interstyle Trade show at Chennai.

The major break came in 1998 when it put up a big apparel technology show, Syed Zakir Ahmed informed presspersons here today when announcing the 100th fair to be conducted in Chennai shortly.

The group had so far conducted 97 exhibitions both in India and abroad. It will be organising its 40th Jewel exhibition, 98th venture, in Coimbatore. The 99th is Garmentech Bangladesh to be held in Dhaka.

Zak group has plans to celebrate its centennial exhibition by organising its 100th, 101th and 102th exhibitions at the same time in Chennai Trade centre during Februray 28 - March 03.

The three exhibitions to be organised will be International Jewellery and Watch Expo 2003, Fabrics & Accessories Show 2003 and Zak International Trade fair.

The group would be associating with new industry segments in the current year such as hospitality, agro and food processing, chemicals, petroleum products, regional language software, herbal products (including medicinal plants and spices), metal and metallurgy, printing, packaging, plastics, paper and signages and the like.
