Homage to Nagappa

MYSORE Jan. 8. A meeting will be organised at Kamagare in Kollegal taluk on Thursday to pay homage to the former Minister, H.Nagappa, who was killed in Veerappan's captivity last month.

Apart from senior Janata Dal(U) leaders from different parts of the State, the seer of Suttur Math, Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, the seer of Siddaganga Math, Shivakumar Swamiji, and the Pejawar Math seer, Vishweshwara Theertha Swamiji, are expected to participate in the Shivaganaradhane.

Police personnel have been deployed in large numbers. They have earmarked space for parking of vehicles near Singanallur Milk Billing Centre. Buses and vehicles on their way to Malai Mahadeshwara Hills through Kamagere will be diverted through Indavadi, Kannagiri and Channasugananahalli.

Meanwhile, the district administration has said that schools and colleges in the area will be closed tomorrow.
