KSEB employees' meet from January 10

KOZHIKODE JAN. 8. Senior Congress leaders belonging to different "groups'' would be attending the 15th State convention of the INTUC-led Kerala Electricity Employees Confederation, according to its organisers.

The curtain will go up on the convention with a procession to be flagged off from Gandhi Road on the evening of January 10.

A public meeting which will be declared open by the KPCC president, K Muraleedharan, at Muthalakulam Maidan later in the day.

The KPCC office-bearers, A Sujanapal, K P Kunhikannan, C N Balakrishnan, K C Abu and N K Abdul Rahman, besides the general secretary of the all-India Youth Congress Committee, V K Sreekantan, will speak at the meeting.

Mr. Muraleedharan will formally inaugurate the convention on January 11.

The Electricity Minister, Kadavoor Sivadasan, will inaugurate a delegates' session and the former Labour Minister, N Ramakrishnan. a trade union meeting the same day.

A seminar on the problems in the power sector organised as part of the three-day convention will be inaugurated by the AICC general secretary, Vayalar Ravi, on January 12, the last day of the programme.

S. Sarma, former Electricity Minister, will also speak.

The valedictory session will be inaugurated by the Health Minister, P. Sankaran.
