Charan Singh varsity advances

MEERUT JAN. 9. Chaudhary Charan Singh University defeated Osmania by 133 runs to enter the semifinals of the inter-university cricket tournament for Rohinton Baria Trophy here on Thursday.

Brief scores: CCS, Meerut 211 in 29.2 overs beat Osmania 78 in 32 overs (Pankaj Sharma three for 11, Yajuvendra Singh three for 57).

Ranchi 188 in 60 overs (Tej Pratap 54, Kumar 30, Satyendra Kumar 30 not out, Jatin Patel three for 46, Bharat Solanki three for 48) v South Gujarat University, Surat.
