Dope test likely on Friday

Auckland Jan. 9. The Indian cricket team is likely to undergo the dope test, here, on Friday morning. The urine samples of the players will be collected by the team's physio Andrew Leipus, and handed over to the appropriate medical laboratory in Auckland.

The cricketers from all the teams will be subjected to drug tests during the coming World Cup, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is getting them done in advance here as a precautionary measure.

The list of pain killers and medical tablets that could contain the banned substances has been made available to the cricketers. It is not clear when the results of the tests would be made known. — Our Special Correspondent
