New Delhi
By Our Staff Reporter
Meanwhile, Power Grid Corporation officials have informed that even the two main transmission lines -- Dadri- Mandola and Rihand-Dadri -- were also down due to the inclement weather which in turn had badly affected transmission of power, thus leading to shortage in different parts. The areas which have been badly affected include Vikaspuri, Rohini, Pitampura, Shalimar Bagh, Tilak Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Dilshad Garden, Chitranjan Park, Malviya Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Rajouri Garden and Paschim Vihar where power cut of as long as eight hours has been reported. Similarly, several trans-Yamuna localities including Laxmi Nagar, Shakarpur, Patparganj, Mayur Vihar, Gandhi Nagar, Shahdara, Anand Vihar and Yamuna Vihar besides several colonies in South and North Delhi were also badly affected by power crisis. Delhiites have had to face grave difficulties due to the unscheduled power-cuts affecting their day-to-day functioning. Their repeated complaints at different call centres fell on deaf ears.
