Pak. assails passport suspension move

By B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD JAN. 10. Pakistan today condemned the Indian Government's decision to suspend the passports of the leaders of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC).

"This latest step of the Indian Government to harass the APHC leadership is yet another manifestation of its policy to brutally suppress the freedom movement in the Indian-occupied Kashmir. It also betrays the Indian Government's fear of the airing of Kashmiri grievances. The Government of Pakistan calls upon the international community to take note of this latest Indian violation of the fundamental rights of Kashmiris," a Foreign Office statement said.
