Sacred cloth, books in dargah set on fire

AHMEDABAD JAN. 10. Unidentified persons broke into the 150-year-old Giban Shah Pir Dargah in Bhuj town and set on fire the sacred cloth, books and a photograph of a priest placed on top of a tomb, police said tonight.

The Bhuj town police said over phone that a forensic team confirmed that petrol and paper rags were used to light the fire. ``Apart from the minor fire there was no other damage to the Dargah and the town was peaceful.'' Police intensified patrolling along with the BSF in the area. — PTI
