Fire at NCL

Pune Jan. 12. A "major fire" broke out at the premier National Chemical Laboratory here this evening, fire brigade sources said.

The cause of the fire at the institute under CSIR was not yet known and details were awaited, they said. Six fire-engines were pressed into service to put out the fire. According to NCL sources, the fire broke out in the Organic Technical Branch which conducts experiments.
