Results of National Youth Festival

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Jan. 16. Following are the results of various competitions held as part of the 8th National Youth Festival. The top three winners in the folk dance and folk song items will receive cash awards of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 5,000 while the top three winners in other categories will receive cash prizes of Rs. 6,000, Rs. 4,500 and Rs. 3,000 respectively.

Folk dance: 1. Gujarat 2. Tamil Nadu 3. Karnataka

Folk song: 1. Goa 2. Kerala 3. Rajasthan

Classical music (Carnatic): 1. Radhika Menon (Kerala), 2. M. R. Ramaswamy (Haryana), M. R. Srinidhi (Karnataka).

Hindustani vocal: 1. Sugandha Misra (Punjab), 2. Arti Nayak (Goa), 3. Dipanjana Bose (West Bengal).

Odissi: 1. Sumeetra Das Gupta (West Bengal), 2. Pallavi Sethi (Delhi), 3. J. M. Prangayan Parmita (Orissa)
