BJP-led NDA Govt. corrupt: Yechury
Agartala
Jan.18.
The CPI(M) politburo member, Sitaram Yechury, today said only a third alternative political force could solve the problems of the people.
Addressing a rally here, the CPI(M) leader alleged that the RSS was controlling the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, and said the RSS was playing the role of ``Sakuni in Mahabharata''.
The BJP Government was now steeped in ``knee-deep corruption'' and running without any policy in any field, he said adding the present Union Government was working under the instructions of the U.S.
For narrow political interest, the Congress formed an alliance with the political organisation of the banned outfit, National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), he said.
The great sacrifice of the people of Tripura, specially the leaders and members of the Left parties, in facing militant violence was an example before the country. He urged the youth to come forward with more enthusiasm to lift spirit of the masses to resist the activities of the extremists.
The Tripura Chief Minister, Manik Sarkar, also a CPI(M) politburo member, said the Left Front Government was successful in every field and the State's various achievements had crossed the national ratio.
The CPI(M)'s two frontal youth organisations the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and the Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) organised rallies in 11different places in Tripura today.
