Two kidnapped in Manipur

IMPHAL JAN. 22. A businessman from Tamil Nadu and an official of the Food Corporation of India posted at Dimapur in Nagaland were kidnapped by suspected Kuki militants on Tuesday in Chandel district of Manipur, bordering Myanmar.

The militants kidnapped 10 persons, but eight were rescued,, the BSF DIG, P.K. Mishra, said. The militants also robbed passengers in two Tata Sumos and a Maruti van from Moreh, the border town, going to Imphal. A little later, another group looted passengers of a van, a car and a jeep nearby. .
