Venue shifted

By V.S. Sambandan

COLOMBO JAN. 22. The venue of the next session — fifth round — of direct talks between Colombo and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has been shifted to ``a European capital'', instead of Thailand as announced earlier. Norwegian Government sources in Oslo told The Hindu that the decision was based on the ``medical advice'' that the LTTE's chief negotiator, Anton S. Balasingham, ``should restrict his long-distance travel''. Also the talks will be restricted to two days — February 7 and 8. — in which human rights issues will be addressed.
