Letters to the Editor
Sir, Kukis and Nagas live together in all the hill districts of Manipur. There are no specifically Naga-dominated areas. If parts of the Manipur hills are ceded to Nagaland, Kukis will find themselves in a situation similar to that of the Hindus in the present day Pakistan. Disintegrating Manipur to placate the Nagas will not bring peace to the North East. While solving the problem of the Nagas, the Centre must not stir the hornet's nest. The views of all parties affected by the problem created by the Naga militants must be duly considered. Stop the trouble-makers, but in doing so, see that you do not create more trouble-makers.
