Protect Kukis

Sir, — The Kukis of Manipur, enlisted under the Government gazette as Scheduled Tribes, have been threatened by the Naga militant outfit, NSCN (I-M). In their own soil, they have been displaced.

The Government, which is responsible for the welfare of its people, should uphold the Constitution and protect the lives of the indigenous tribals.
