CEAT prize for Kapil, Sachin

Mumbai Jan. 28. Kapil Dev today bagged the CEAT International Cricketer of the Century award here. The Sri Lankan spin wizard, Muthiah Muralitharan, bagged the coveted International Cricketer of the Year award.

Sachin Tendulkar will receive the International Batsman of the Year award, the vice-chairman of CEAT, Harsh Goenka, told reporters here. Australia, was chosen as the International Team of the Year for the third time, having won the award in 1997-98 and 1999-2000.

CEAT will also honour the former Indian captain, Bishen Singh Bedi, with the Lifetime Achievement award— PTI
