Report on search baseless: Army

New Delhi Jan. 28. The Army today termed as ``false and baseless'', a media report that its experts had searched the palace of arrested Uttar Pradesh MLA, Raja Bhaiyya, and his father for concealed weapons in Kunda.

``No Army troops were either sent or were involved in any search of weapons in Kunda in Uttar Pradesh,'' an Army spokesman said.

Tunnel found

A bomb squad from Kanpur was today called to help in the search operations after a tunnel was found in the compound of the `Badri Palace' of the jailed independent MLA Raja Bhayya.

Circle Officer Kumda Ramshiromani Pandey said the decision to call the bomb squad was taken after the detection of the tunnel. — PTI
