Bomb hoax stops train

New Delhi Jan. 30. Rail traffic on Delhi-Azadpur junction came to a virtual standstill this evening after Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express was stopped following a hoax call that a bomb had been planted on the train.

The train was stopped at Azadpur, a Northern Railway spokesman said. All the passengers were disembarked and the personnel of the city police, including Bomb Disposal Squad, carried out extensive search before declaring the call as hoax, the spokesman said. — PTI
