Mufti resolves to take back Pandits

By Our Staff Reporter

JAMMU JAN. 31. The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has reiterated his resolve for a gradual and dignified return of the Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley.

The Government was committed to the return of the community as Kashmir was incomplete without them, he said.

Speaking at the golden jubilee celebrations of the Gandhi Memorial College of Education here today, he said: "Wherever I go in Kashmir, I feel that the Valley is missing the diversity that used to exist before the exodus took place." The exodus of the Pandits was one of the unfortunate part of the history of Kashmir's composite and cosmopolitan culture.
