'Separatists ready to reciprocate Centre's move

By Our Staff Reporter

Jammu Jan. 31. The former chairman of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, today said that any sincere and meaningful move by the Centre to resolve the Kashmir issue would be welcomed by the separatists and reciprocated by them in the right spirit.

Talking to The Hindu he said, "We are keeping our options open if any move is made by the Centre to start a fresh dialogue with the separatists. In the past we refused to meet K.C. Pant as he had no agenda in mind. We have nothing personal against Mr. Pant but he was himself not clear about why he came to the State."
