Denied bail

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI JAN. 31. A Delhi court today refused to grant bail to the two accused whose car had intruded into the convoy of the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, on the night of January 28. Dismissing the applications of Ashok Kumar and Dahren Singh, the Metropolitan Magistrate, Chandrashekhar, said that investigation into the incident was not complete. However, he asked the Delhi Cantonment police to release the vehicle to its registered owner, Umesh Gulia, after carrying out a mechanical inspection of the car and on furnishing a bond of Rs. 4 lakhs by the owner.
