When a petition filed by the company, alleging police harassment, came up for hearing today, Justice P. Sathasivam said: "I am of the view that it is desirable to get a detailed report from the DGP with regard to the activities of the petitioner-company by February 5." The company, engaged in the sale of magnetic beds, ozone water purifiers and multipurpose foldable table, prayed for a direction to the DGP and the Chennai City Commissioner of Police to release the attachment of bank accounts and remove seals affixed on the company's head office and other business centres. According to the petitioner-counsel, A. Natarajan, though the sale was being networked among individuals through a multilevel marketing network, the police was interfering with the ``lawful business activities of the company by freezing bank accounts and seizing passbooks.'' The anticipatory bail granted by the principal sessions judge A.R. Ramalingam, on January 29 to the company's managing director, Radhakrishnan, was stayed by the High Court. On January 30, Justice C. Nagappan stayed the operation of the anticipatory bail order till February 3.
