"The United States had no right to interfere with the affairs of other countries and take decision on regime change." The U.S. efforts to replace the ruler of Iraq would be fraught with severe consequences, as it would amount to interfering with the internal affairs of other nations. War would send wrong signals to the democratic countries, as they believed it was the prerogative of the people of the respective nations to support the kind of regime they wished to have, Mr. Fernandes said.
