Six LeT militants killed in Doda

Jammu Feb.1. An Army jawan and six Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed in an encounter in Doda district today, police sources said.

Following a tip-off, the security forces launched a search operation to flush out the ultras in an operation at Nallah Bharat. As the security forces zeroed in on the ultras, they opened fire. Six LeT ultras were shot dead.

The jawan was identified as Sandeep Kumar. Three of the slain ultras have been identified as Abu Mewa, Abu Rehman and Kamal Din. Some arms and ammunition were recovered from them.
