Violence marks Patna bandh

Patna Feb. 1. Stray incidents of violence today marked the dawn-to-dusk bandh called by the NDA and Indian Federal Democratic Party in Ashiana Nagar and Raja Bazar areas here to protest against the abduction of a brick-kiln owner.

Supporters of the NDA and the Lok Sabha member from Purnea, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, smashed windscreens of vehicles, vandalising a few shops. — PTI
