By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI FEB. 1. Subscribers of Chennai Telephones covered by its exchanges at Triplicane, Ice House, Peters Road, Cathedral Road, Royapettah, North T. Nagar, Valluvar Kottam, Sait Colony, Greams Road and Thirumalai Road, need to just dial 28292929 for a new connection. On receiving their request, the authorised BSNL personnel would visit the subscriber premises and collect the demand draft towards the connection.

The officials would inform them about the spare numbers available and make arrangement for installation of the connection within 100 hours.

This has been made possible with the launch of the `Phone-on-Phone' service by the Chennai Telephones Chief General Manager, S.S. Iyer on Wednesday, for the subscribers of the Central Area. Similar facilities were available at the Anna Road (28552929) and Haddows Road (28282929) exchanges.
