Letters to the Editor
Sir This has reference to the report that the Karnataka Chief Minister, S. M. Krishna, has expressed his frustration at the delay over the airport project after returning from Davos where he had gone to "woo" investors to the State. If such is the case with the Government, which has hardly anything at stake, how frustrating it must be for the big companies which are waiting for years to put up large infrastructure projects in Karnataka. Many companies have already sunk crores for putting up projects and waited unsuccessfully for years, thanks to the Government's indecision. No new major industry has come up in Karnataka in the last three or four years other than IT industries which have come irrespective of the party in power. Mr. Krishna should take positive steps rather than stop with expressing his frustration. K. B. Srinivasan, Bangalore
