Abducted man released

Patna Feb. 2. A b rick kiln owner, Janaki Singh, whose abduction from Patna district sparked off protests and bandhs, was released early today after two days of captivity as police busted a gang, while the NDA withdrew its call for a Patna bandh tomorrow to protest the kidnap.

The SSP, Sunil Kumar, and the Rural SP, Amit Kumar, said that Mr. Singh was rescued from a hut in the riverine area in Saran district after midnight.
