Ayodhya hearing

Sir, — This has reference to the report `Centre moves Supreme Court on early hearing on the matter of Ayodhya' (Feb. 6). When the matter is in the Supreme Court, why should the Government insist on an early decision when several cases are pending in the courts? Will it not amount to contempt/influencing the judicial process?

C.S. Venkataraghavan,
Chennai
