In a statement here, Ms. Dikshit said the question of her having tea with Mr. Modi and giving him a clean chit and endorsing his handling of the situation in Gujarat did not arise at all. "Mr. Modi is spreading a total canard in true BJP tradition. I have not had tea with Mr. Modi at any point of time during my political career leave alone joining him for the same in Gujarat. Therefore, the question of having discussed the Gujarat situation does not arise at all.'' Expressing shock and surprise over Mr. Modi's reported remarks at the CII meeting here on Thursday, Ms. Dikshit said she was the only "woman Congress Chief Minister" and attributing something to her which had not happened was mischievous. "I had gone to Gujarat to take part in the dharna, led by the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, to protest against the State-sponsored carnage unleashed in the State. Where does the question of having tea and making such statements arise?" she asked.
