EPIC through online scheme

Chennai feb. 7. Commencing from February 18, a six-day programme to issue Electors' Photo Identity Card has been announced for all the 14 Assembly constituencies in the city and those voters who do not have the ID cards can get it instantly through the online scheme.

At a meeting held at the Ripon Building on Thursday, Corporation Commissioner, gave instructions to zonal officers and other staff on the steps to be taken during the six-day programme. A demonstration of the on-line distribution of EPIC was also made during the meeting, a press release from the Corporation said.
