Governor's plea to engineers on water crisis

HYDERABAD Feb. 8. The Governor, Surjit Singh Barnala, has called upon the Institution of Engineers, the largest professional body with centres all over the country, to find a solution to the current drinking water crisis in the State.

He was interacting with the newly elected office-bearers of the Institution of Engineers (India) AP Centre, when they called on him here on Saturday. He said engineers should find solutions to the problems being faced by the country and the State with focus on drought and drinking water crisis.

The president of the centre, G. L. Rao, explained to the Governor the contributions of the Institution of Engineers to the society and engineering fraternity in particular.
