Traffic regulations in connection with Pongala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Feb. 8. Traffic regulations have been imposed in the city from February 9 to February 16 in connection with the Attukal Pongala festival at the Attukal Bhagavathy temple.

In view of the Pongala festival, all vehicles proceeding to the temple from East Fort and Thiruvallam are to proceed towards Avittam Tirunal Granthasala junction from Manacaud junction and proceed to the temple by taking the left turn.

Vehicles from Kalady are to take the right turn from Kalady junction and reach the Avittam Tirunal granthasala junction and proceed to the temple.

All vehicles going to East Fort and Thiruvallam from the Attukal temple are to proceed through the road behind the temple and should take left turn from the Thunchan smarakam at Iranimuttam and proceed to Kalippankulam and an from there to Manacaud so as to reach the Kovalam road via Kamaleswaram.

All vehicles going to Karamana and Pappanamcode from the Attukal temple are to take deviation to the left side from Chiramukku and go through Kalady and Maruthoorkadavu bridge.

Two-wheelers and three-wheelers going to Karamana are to pass through Nedungad,Soman Nagar and Thaliyal.

Two-wheelers which come to the temple are to be parked on the Western side in front of the Devi Kalyana mandapam. All other vehicles are to be parked in the parking space behind the temple.
