Stanley, prime accused in the sensational Mabel Gomaz murder case, was proclaimed a wanted man by the district court after he jumped bail. The police arrested the accused from his house at Menamkulam on receiving information that he was there. The prosecution case is that 58-year-old Mabel Gomaz was murdered by a three-member gang led by Stanley, for robbing her of her gold ornaments. The other accused in the case are Charles and Raju. Police said the woman, who was staying alone at her house, was murdered to raise money for sending Stanley's wife to the Gulf. The murder took place on March 3, 1998.
